About Angie Mourton
Angie found her love for fitness in 1989. She got a Bachelor of Education in Recreation Programming and a Master of Education in Recreation Management at BGSU. She also completed Ph.D. coursework at the University of Toledo in Higher Education.
Angie is a fitness professional. She competed professionally in the National Sportaerobics Competitions. In 1998, Angie received a Gold Medal at western regionals and 6th place at Nationals, and in 1999, Angie was awarded the Bronze Medal at Midwest regionals and placed 8th at Nationals. In her last year of competition, she placed 4th at Midwest regionals and 5th at Nationals. In her years competing, she mastered the sport, made great friends, and traveled to many beautiful places.
Angie has an ACE Personal Training Certification, Silver Sneakers Certification, TRX, Total Barre, International Youth Certifications, and Self Myofascial Release. Her current goal is to become an American Red Cross CPR Instructor.
Angie has been in the business for over 30 years, starting as a Group Fitness Instructor and then as a Personal Trainer. She believes her clients should work within their fitness level and feel good when they work to achieve their short- or long-term goals. She believes that fitness is a necessary part of life for overall health but should also be fun. Angie trains anyone, from 8-year-olds to people in their 80s! For those new to fitness, Angie provides honest, positive reinforcement at a slower pace, but she can also teach those at a more advanced fitness level. Most of her workouts use a combination of mats, dumbbells, stability balls, TRX, kettlebells, or bands.

Her Philosophy of Fitness
Angie wants her clients to work hard within their specific fitness levels but, most of all, have fun. Clients should come out of their workout feeling they worked hard and safely. She hopes her clients gain the energy, strength, and confidence they can incorporate into their everyday lives.
"STAY MOTIVATED!" is her favorite quote, and she loves building lasting friendships with her clients.

Angie lives in Toledo, Ohio, with her husband, Scott, her dog, Cheeky, and her cat, Tucker.

“Angie is fun and effective trainer. We have been able to adapt our workouts to my changing physical needs. I was recently diagnosed with osteoarthritis in both knees, and my mobility became somewhat limited. Angie and I experimented with various exercises and landed on movement training to keep and improve my overall range of motion."

"My husband and I have been working out virtually with Angie for over two years. We love the flexibility and comfort of working out at home, especially since gyms can feel intimidating and competitive. Angie is so compassionate and encouraging, always adapting workouts to our needs. And at 52, I am the strongest I’ve ever been!"

"Over the past three years, I have been a client of Angie’s, beginning in person and then continuing virtually after I moved. She has a gift for motivating people to achieve their best results. Depending on how I am feeling or what I want to work on, Angie customizes our workout sessions and works with me to schedule around my busy life!"
